Preparing for a tree planting exercise. The student community can play a role in ensuring that our country Kenya attains the constitutional threshold of a minimum of 10% forest cover.
The University of Nairobi has over 80,000 students, if each student planted and natured at least 5 tree seedlings during their studies then this will spur the tree cover in our country as the students come from across the country. Student engagement is critical. |

With that big number of students in the university it does seem like anything could be possible if each and every student are on the same page.

I fully agree with you that students can play a vital role in having substantial forest cover in any country. Thanks for putting a strong and inspiring point.
