Zuellig Building puts the Philippines in the Green World Map |

Everytime I visit my uncle's house, I get to look out at a building that has been quite interesting. Now I am told that it is a green building that has put the Philippines in the "green world map". The building is called Zuellig Building, which has 33 floors and is in the heart of Makati City.
According to an article I read it uses green technology used in building the Freedom Tower in New York. Some of its environmental strengths are: It uses low-emissivity glass from top to bottom of the building, which most importantly reduces cooling costs in a warm country like ours. Office spaces get natural lighting. Photovoltaic solar power system was installed to generate renewable energy. Gray water is recycling and rainwater collection resulting in over 70-percent water savings. Location allows easy commute for tenants. Bicycle stands are provided and showers provided for office users. Pictures below were taken by my aunt. http://business.inquirer.net/134847/building-puts-ph-in-green-world-map |

Thanks, Kehkashan! I think all buildings that will be built in the future should be green buildings.
