Environmental education workshops in Mexico.

Mexico has a special place for its biological richness their biodiversity is estimated at more than 12% of the world's species, unfortunately this biodiversity megadiverse facing an accelerated process of destruction as a result of the activities. And although there are conservation efforts, there are still many shortcomings and most regional economic analyzes say little or nothing of the state of the environment and natural resources missing references to the environmental quality of the populations and fluctuations stocks of natural resources, especially renewables, despite its crucial importance for the development alternatives in the region, incorporating only moderate technical progress, the intensification of international trade and the deterioration of the value of local products in the international market have increased pressure on resources. If to this is added the increase in population and the growth of domestic demand, it concludes that development strategies have on the environment and natural resources weakest dimension.

Undoubtedly one of the problems facing the conservation of biodiversity is environmental education, since this area has received little attention, is an education and playing a very important role because knowledge represents the culture and the way to respect and preservation of beings who coexist with the understanding that each and every one of the organisms in our environment have a specific role and function that gives us important ecological benefits directly and indirectly.

Environmental education in Mexico is very poor disadvantaged social groups remain unattended due to lack of resources and support that allows access and ensure their retention and success in education. The economic and cultural inequality is present from birth educating future. Insufficient nutrition in early life affects their potential intelligence and other factors influencing their educational possibilities are: the income of their parents, the community and the degree of development of the region from which it comes.

That's why is very important that environmental education workshops continue being imparted, and that environmental education is integrated into educational programs permanently, and so we can move forward in conservation, as the accelerated loss of biodiversity that we are experiencing today requires us to do so, so that in this way they can ensure success in programs carried out in the country, making it more comprehensive and reliable with strong bases and for proper implementation, with more active participation of the population.
