PARYAVARAN MITRA Completed 3rd. Year |

On 24th. July 2013, we celebrated the third birthday of PARYAVARA MITRA, India and luckily I was in the premises of Centre of Environment Education ( CEE ) , Ahmedabad, India and took part in the birthday party. The birthday was celebrated the 3rd birthday of PARYAVARA MITRA with 46 students and teachers of all over India and organiser like Promod sir and Annie Madam, The journey was started by Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, ( Former President f India ) On the 24th of July 2010 . One this date, the environmentalist of our country decided to start an organization in India which is a platform for encouraging children to become Paryavaran MITRA ( meaning Environment friend ) and take green initiative in their locality ,society etc.
This platform had recently celebrated its third birth day and I feel privileged to be attending their celebration .Paryavaran MITRA had invited children for a four days workshop and there the birthday was celebrated. Who is a Paryavaran Mitra?
The Paryavaran Mitra programme primarily seeks to reach students from class 6 – 8 (age group 11-15). What is the design of the Paryavaran Mitra Programme? Students, as Paryavaran Mitra, show commitment to make a difference by taking handprint action. The action could be towards resolving a local issue, or to improve the condition within the school premises, and at home, or in the community in five thematic areas. |

In three years Paryavaran Mitra has reached to 2 lakh twenty thousand school. this is really a great achievement. Congratulations!!! to Paryavaran Mitra team.
