The natural protected areas take the schools |
---|
Peru is one of ten megadiverse countries of the world, it houses much of the planet's biological diversity, with 84 of the 104 life zones eight biogeographic provinces and three major river basins containing 12201 lakes and ponds, 1007 rivers, and 3044 glaciers. But in order to preserve and protect all those resources, it is necessary to make a proper management of the same, which should lead to sustainable development, this does not mean that can not be use these resources, but also can be preserved. Protected natural areas are spaces on the continent or in the sea territory recognized, established and legally protected by our state, because of its great importance for the conservation of biodiversity and other values associated with it are also of great interest as the cultural, scenic and scientific, as well as its contribution to sustainable development of the country. In Peru currently are established: • 77 national management. • 15 regional conservation. • 65 private conservation. National Park Cutervo: Tambopata: National park Manu: But there are still many problems with control in these areas, as illegal loggers or hunters of animals, who not respect the limits and the importance of these areas and cause serious damage and impacts that generate losses of species and even ecosystems. The main problems are deforestation, pollution from mining, hunting animals that are endangered or removal of these animals to be sold in the cities. That is the reason for the Ministry of Environment in Peru has run a campaign that seeks to make children aware and action on protecting natural areas, with the purpose that schoolchildren, who are so young , achieve become leaders who promote environmental development. The launch of "The protected natural areas make schools" was held in the IE Maria Parado de Bellido - Rimac district. This campaign is very important and this school has a marked commitment to the environment and we now expect more schools to join this initiative and learn from each other. " The natural protected areas take the schools ", it has as aim that the children and teenagers, from the school stage, become in people aware on the importance of preserving the natural protected areas, to preserve our biological and historical diversity. |
