Build a city resilient to climate change requires a broader conceptualization of the concept of sustainable cities. The city is not only able to adapt and manage the risks of climate change, but also contributes to low-carbon development. Including participating to reduce the global temperature rise to 2 degrees. Adaptation and mitigation of climate change is the concept of mutually supportive and complementary. These two things are the key concepts introduced by the regime of modernity to face climate change. Briefly, mitigation means that an effort was made to prevent, restrain or slow the effects of greenhouse gases that cause global warming on Earth. In contrast to mitigation, adaptation to the efforts made to adapt to the impacts of climate change that has occurred and is perceived in the earth. Climate change mitigation is defined as an anthropogenic intervention to reduce anthropogenic pressures on the climate system, including strategies to reduce sources producing greenhouse gases and increase carbon sequestration. There are several approaches that can be used, such as in terms of social, economic, political, and technology. All of which can support the reduction of emissions that contribute to climate change. There are four main application of mitigation strategies. One of them is the elimination, which avoids the use of tools emitters of greenhouse gases. This action provides the greatest cost savings and could be felt. Examples of switching off lights when not in use, turn off the air conditioner when no one in the room.
Another strategy that can be done in addressing the impact of climate change is a reduction. Namely an action can be done by replacing old equipment and or optimize existing structures. Mitigation actions like this are very effective and can be integrated into daily business with minimum effort. Examples include energy efficiency into the investment decision. Girls It's Finally So Kids Country Other Things to do in addressing climate change is the substitution. Even this step has consequences or implications of high investment costs, but will bear a positive impact on reduction in emissions through the substitution potential is very high. Examples of the use of renewable energy to meet the electricity needs and or heating. Mitigation of climate change can also be done by changing habits in our daily lives. Energy efficiency can be done through the substitution or through savings. The energy savings are often helped reduce emissions causing climate change. Efficient energy use can also save costs. In the face of climate change, there is no "one solution fits all" in energy efficiency. On the contrary, the solution can vary depending on a case by case basis. However, many energy efficiency measures that can be implemented with low investment costs and minimum effort. Energy efficiency requires higher costs should be offset by savings in energy costs incurred. Here are some ideas that will be discussed in the Youth Climate Week, which was held for three days in Bali from 16-18 August 2016 organized by Green Garda Garda Nations in cooperation with the Friedrich Naumann Stiftung.

I agree with you-it's high time that all countries start building sustainable cities. Sustainability is the need of an hour to fight Climate Change -both for adapting to it's impacts and contributing to reducing it's intensity. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing your very first post in Tunza, Agung! I also agree with your point that it is now time to build sustainable green cities. However, the question may be 'how?', since some parts of the world may not be able to afford such cost. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

Hi Agung! Welcome to Tunza eco generation and thank you for uploading your first report on time! I expect to hear more about Indonesia and the country's facing environmental issues that the other members cannot have easy access to. Youth Climate Week seems to have gathered many young Indonesians particularly interested in today's environmental problems, we'd be happy to hear the voice of indonesian youth, perhaps that could be your next free topic! thanks for participating!
