The Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) is a professional non-government organisation in UAE devoted to protecting the environment through awareness programmes, recycling actions and community involvement. EEG enrols individual, organisations and corporates under an annual membership basis. It is well supported by concerned local and federal government agencies. It is the first environmental NGO in the world to be ISO 14001 certified. EEG is a signatory of the UN Global Compact and a focal point of the Global Compact in the GCC states. EEG is also a member of the International Union of Conservation for Nature (IUCN).

EEG reaches out to people in multiple ways:

It conducts regular community lectures to spread awareness on environmental issues. It also conducts Students and Teachers workshops every year.

It conducts various campaigns regularly under the names: Neighborhood Recycling Project,  Together we plant, Your can for a tree and One Root One Communi-tree. Each campaign aims at calling for recyclable materials like paper, cans, plastics, glass, mobile phones etc from the public and corporates, setting a target for each category and planting trees based on a certain quantity recycled. I have been a regular contributor for such projects and get rewarded with trees to plant in my name. Furthermore EEG rewards the top collectors of recyclables in its annual Waste Management Rewarding Ceremony usually conducted in celebration of the World Environment Day.

EEG arranges to conduct celebrations for International Earth Hour, Earth Day, World Environment Day etc and spreads awareness to members and public in resorting to recurring green actions to enable sustainability of lives in future.

Bee'Ah meaning "Environment" in Arabic was founded in 2007 as an environmental management company headquartered in Sharjah. Thanks for introducing EEG and Bee'ah. Both the organisations have been doing phenomenal job in creating more and more eco-warriors and imbibing the environmental passion in us through their various programs and campaigns. I am glad that I have been loyal contributor and member of EEG and loyal ambassador of Bee'ah.
