Agriculture appeared in Egypt around 6000 BC, where historical studies indicate that the inhabitants of the cities built Meredh
Salama and Fayoum knew the arts of agriculture in 5500 BC, the Egyptian agriculture linked to the Nile River.

The most important crop, planted by the ancient Egyptians are wheat and barley, as the Egyptians cultivated flax and some legumes such as chickpeas, lentils, beans, lupine and many vegetables such as onions, lettuce, garlic Not only so, but only succeeded in planting many fruit such as figs, pomegranates, grapes, palm and papyrus and acacia and lotus and indigo, carob and henna, roses, fenugreek, raspberry, mint, Doom and clover, thyme, jasmine, cinnamon, saffron, cabbage, watermelon, plums, ebony and oak this shows the progress and the importance of agriculture to the ancient Egyptians.

And  reserves the agriculture in Egypt,  by its own style and still a lot of Egyptian customs and traditions practiced in these days ,  due to the severe agricultural groups maintain the ancient past and this is linked to significantly nature of agriculture in the Nile Valley.

Because the flood system making agriculture a special character which renews itself on a regular basis every year from here the farmer found it difficult to change the habits and traditions of the gene and is interested in Egyptians filming agricultural operations on the walls of temples, tombs and can infer the extent of the similarities between the old farming operations and what is happening now.

In ancient Egypt Egyptian farmer invented many of the agricultural machinery and occupied the first place the ax and then  , used the plow drove by animals and this represents a significant shift in farming methods, which contributed to the increase of agricultural production , also used beaters and sickle, weights and wooden shovel.

The ancient Egyptians  they do not have the farmland because it is the sole owner of the King as he controlled  in granting or prevented as he wish ,   Moreover,
the holder of any agricultural land is not entitled to dispose of either ownership or inheritance.
Egypt is the first country in history cultivation takes place at a certain time have divided the year into  three classes according to the three main sections, namely, (sister) sense of the flood, (Brett) in the sense seeds, (Chemo ) sense harvest.

And we'll talk about agriculture in modern Egypt in another report later.

Thanks for sharing Waleed! I remember reading about ancient civilisations in history class and it was definitely very interesting. They pioneered a lot, not only in agriculture, but also in other sectors such as maths, medicine, architecture, transport, language and religion.

Thanks for writing Waleed! What an interesting article. Ancient Egyptian civilization always mesmerizes me, it's so grand and exotic. It's really amazing how the could manage to build such marvelous architectural landmarks and maintain the country system. Well agriculture is closely related with the environment, but since this site is for a certain purpose, it would be of more interest to other ambassadors if you could steer a little bit more toward the environmental issues and problems and solutions with the Egyptian insights. Thanks for all :D
