In Tanzania poor people are more affected by environmental destruction and deterioration, because of their higher dependence on environmental resources and inadequate resource for coping with environmental hazards unlikely middle income and rich people.
Degradation of agricultural land ,depletion of forests, fish stocks and lack of access to drinking water have a major impact on income and health of the poor.Because mostly depend on these activities, its destruction turns out to be totally mess to the poor people.Land also used for agricultural activities such as grazing land for animal husbandry which provide crucial source of livelihood to rural areas.
Most poor people in both urban and rural areas frequently do not have the luxury access to safe drinking water. The widespread use of chemical fertilizer ,pesticides and other chemicals for farming process leads formidable health hazards to the rural areas.

Thanks Peter! It's not good to hear that some people don't have access to clean water and lacks basic necessities. I hope this will not happen in the future. Thanks for writing

Thanks for sharing, Peter. Clean water and sanitation are the most basic needs for human life, yet not all people are enjoying it. I hope the situation gets better in Tanzania. Have a great day!

I agree with you Peter. Just look at how developing nations are suffering the most due to global warming that was mostly brought about by developed nations.

Hi Peter! I completely agree with you that any sort of environmental degradation harms the poor the most. In India, women have to travel more than 10 kms a day to fetch water for domestic purposes. Also, many Ingenious Tribes had to relocate because of mass deforestation.
