From the 23rd September to 02 October 2016, has taken place the CULTURAL BIODIVERSITY WEEK at Kpele-tsiko, a little village located at almost 120 kilometers SW from LOME.
As every year, this event is a platform which assembles youngsters, rural and international communities, authorities and all others persons involved in the protection of the environment especially in the preservation of the biodiversity.
This year, this meeting was the 1st youth forum in agro ecology here in TOGO. And in brief, participants from TOGO, GHANA, BENIN, NIGERIA, KENYA, ETHIOPIA, LUXEMBOURG etc. learned and discussed about important points of the sustainable development. Some of them are :
Protection and preservation of the biodiversity, seeds, local knowledge,
Discovery of local agriculture methods,
Solar energy,
Food security in TOGO,
Adaptation of agriculture to the climate change,
Cooking competition,
Networking,
Commemoration of the international day of legumes
Mountain climbing.
Etc
Almost 100 persons whose 80 youngsters were at this event rich in colors with a great satisfaction of all.
