Snow has fallen on the Sahara desert for the second time in living memory in 40 years.

The largest hot desert on the planet, spanning 3,600,000 sq. mi. and many North Africa countries

On February 18, 1979, low altitude areas of the Sahara desert recorded their first snowfall in living memory

And now in December 2016

Intriguing stuff. Seems like a forerunner of future changes in weather patterns.

Was amazed to hear about this in the media. Could you elaborate a litlle further about the reasons behind this? Is this a warning of climate change?
