As you may know, Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world so the Atmospheric Particulate Matter varies from place to place. In my report, I will focus on the APM of the capital city, Buenos Aires, where I live. 

Due to its natural conditions and the wind, the air in Buenos Aires renewed constantly. Due to this reason the PM10 meaurings are below the ideal average of 20 ug/m³ that is recommended. The air is generally recycled every day. Consequently, levels of CO and NO_x are  very low at night during the whole year. Due to this reason the population isn?t as affected as other countries by air pollution.  In Argentina the sources of pollution and APM aren?t volcanoes, dust storms or forest or grassland fires. The principal sources of pollution are the cars, public transport, the emissions created by energy plants. In addition, there are pockets of smog and pollution that aren?t carried away by the wind because they are surrounded by tall buildings and  skyscrapers. In these places the population has been experiencing problems with their health, especially in those areas that are vulnerable.

Although the situation isn?t dire compared to other countries in the measure lots of sources state that it is essential to create tools or invest on measuring the APM in more regular intervals. Argentina is blessed with its natural conditions but it should work on creating a policy to control and help the environment. Reducing pollution created by the burning of fossil fuels by using other methods of transport such as the train or switching to more eco friendly power plants, would be a great step towards a more conscious way of living in Buenos Aires and Argentina. 
Other cities in Argentina aren?t affected that much by these types of pollution because they are much smaller in size and population density.
It is worth adding that according to an AE- International study, the PM is higher during the summer in comparison to the winter. This effect happens due to the wind an its currents during this time of the year.

In conclusion, I think the situation in Argentina isn?t as dire as in other places, but we still have a lot of room to improve.
