Last night...was lit!
Our organization, Let's Do It Philippines in partnership with different stakeholders from the country and NCCC Mall of Davao organized one of, if not the biggest, Earth Hour celebration in the largest city in the Philippines.
The event was called E-storyahanay sa Dabaw, a witty spin off of the Cebuano word "estorya" that literally translates as 'conversation' in English. Hosted by one of the most service-oriented environmental and peace advocates in the city, Mr. Kenny Lloyd Angon, the celebration was graced with speakers from different initiatives including Climate Reality Leader, Engr. Ludwig Federigan.
The event involved environmental conversations, songs, hip hop, shadow dance, prizes and the much awaited Earth Hour count down.
Earth Hour is an annual worldwide movement that aims to encourage communities to turn off their non-essential lights for an hour from 8:30 to 9:30 PM.
