Argentina takes a step backwards when it comes to green energy

If there is something we should be doing, it is shooting down nuclear plants and building new sources of renewable energy. But if this is true, why are we still building nuclear power plants in Argentina? Just like others this fact surprises me.

Argentina is a vast country where a lot of renewable sources of energy could be used. Sure there are some being used at the moment, but why aren't we taken advantages of our resources? There are more rivers, more wind and sun rays and other sources of energy that we let go to waste. The reasons? Lack of infrastructure and resources.

You see in a country that has the 8th largest area taking wind energy from the south and taking it to the capital city with 10 million people, you would need to transport it in a profitable way, and installing devices to capture renewable energy can be expensive. But renewable energy is the future and I hope the Argentinian government realizes this and helps the world be a better place instead of building a new nuclear plant in Córdoba.

Hi Carolina! Thanks for sharing our report on current status in Argentina:)
Many countries and their citizen are so aware of the danger of nulcear power but they still can't refuse to use it because of its cheap cost. At least i'm glad that Argentina has huge potential for using renewables!

Carolina, thank you for your report. I have heard alot that Argentina has numerous natural resources, but it seems like not much is used at the moment. I believe the government as well as scientists of Argentina are figuring out how to use renewable sources more. If you see any breakthroughs, please tell us!
