During the week of Environment, the population draw attention by walking and collecting garbage. In Çifteler district of Eskişehir,within the scope of the week of Environment, a walk and garbage collection was done in the district's center . Çifteler District Governor, Çifteler Mayor, district headman also attended the event.
At the end of the day, Çifteler District Governor said: "It is the duty and responsibility of everyone to leave a cleaner, better environmental heritage for future generations with a hand-in-hand campaign for a liveable environment". |

Gallimard, thank you for sharing. So Turkey had a week of Environment too. I wish you could take some photos and show us what it was like. Anyway if there is any other event in Turkey write an article again :)

I think this type of campaign is of great importance in a sense that it engages our citizen to environmental activities in an easy and interesting way. Thanks for you efforts:)

Keeping garbage away from landfills & encourage recycling. Both are very important. Its' nice to know that your community has done the same.

Hi Gallimard, I think your report is incomplete - especially for those in other countries that were not part of the 'week of environment'. it would have been nice if you had told us more about what it was and give us hints to some of the activities that characterize this week. Maybe I should look forward to your next post.
