On Saturday the 24^th of June, the TUNZA Eco-generation ambassador to Nigeria and Climate Change Youth Club University of Nigeria organised a seminar with the theme: ?Steps to Becoming a Green Hero.? The seminar was majorly for the student community.

It began with an introduction by the master of ceremonies. He explained what TUNZA Eco-generation is all about and went on to talk about C.C.Y.C. The club is the brain child of astrophysicist and director of Africa Climate Change Adaptability Initiative in the University of Nigeria, Professor Mrs F. N. Okeke.

I was the first speaker at the occasion. I spoke about being the ambassador and the purpose of the seminar. The PRO of C.C.Y.C. started us off with the first part of the seminar. He talked about the concept of climate change, its causes and the ways to combat the change. He spoke about the overt causes of climate change such as the global warming.

I went on to treat the covert causes of climate change using an article I authored with the same name as the seminar. I provided printed copies of the article. In it, I delineated the ways through which every individual can make a positive contribution to the fight against climate change. The seminar focused on attaining an eco-friendly lifestyle. These ways include: not wasting water, planting trees, donating old electronics to friends, reducing the use of paper by going digital, avoiding plastics and so on.

In all, those in attendance testified that the seminar was worth their time. We hope to organise more of these in future.
