EcoFest 2017

It is not a secret that June is the Philippine Environment Month in the Philippines. For environmentalists like myself, this is also the busiest month of the year for me.

I am so honored and happy to become part of a city that celebrates nature in such a beautiful way. Bring Back The Color, MYDC, the local government of Davao and other organizations and companies made EcoFest in the city possible.

Here's a list of the activities that we facilitated in June together with some pictures. Enjoy and happy EcoFest Davao!

1. DespaSEAto: Saving the Seas, Slowly but Surely
a mangrove growing activty in Cleanergy Park, Punta Dumalag

2. E-Dagan: Pulot Run
a fun run activity with garbage picking for a twist

3. E-Tanom: Tree Nurturing Activity
300 seedlings planted in Sta. Ana Wharf

4. E-storyahanay: An environmental Conversation
participated by 150 students and teachers wherein I have been invited as a speaker together with other advocates from all over the Philippines

5. E-Pakita
a poster making, mural painting and photo-essay contest

6. E-Pasundayag
a cultural performance offered to Mother Nature to end a very successful month

WOW! Looks like the Philippines celebrated its Environment Day with so many fun-filled and meaningful activities. I have seen the pictures and they show how actively you all participated. I really love the way activities of different kinds but with the same 'Environment' theme were organised. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Angel! Thanks for sharing a list of environmental events held in June:) There are so many interesting events in Philippines! What was impressive for me was that all events sound really fun and exciting, which can attract people to join environmental events more easily. Thanks again for the report!
