Its quite late that i am posting belated birthday celebration article, i was busy on some task so i coudnt post by then but i would like to share the good news that my greetings for nature was posted in a "nature's khabar" online news of Nepal,
In every grain of sand, Keep grasses green and our sky blue, Happy World Environment day Let's plant a single tree, a bandage of earth's wind.
Educate a single person, What earth mean to him? you will see care for the earth through someone else's eyes. The most I love myself is my name "Prakriti" glad to be twin with "nature" and my journey to green. http://naturekhabar.com/en/archives/3428 That day was really auspicious that i went to "Maiti Nepal" to celebrate my birthday with my inspiring idol "Anuradha Koirela" The CNN hero, Anuradha Koirala received the Best Social Worker of the Year Award (Nepal) in 1998, Prabal Gorkha Dakshin Bahu Medal (Nepal) in 1999, Trishaktipatta Award in 2002, the Courage of Conscience Award from The Peace Abbey Foundation in 2006, German UNIFEM Prize in 2007 and Queen Sofia Silver Medal Award in 2007. Anuradha was presented with the CNN Heroes Award 2010 in Los Angeles, California. She was introduced by Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher on the stage. She received USD100,000 to continue her work with Maiti Nepal, in addition to USD 25,000 as a token of appreciation from CNN. She received the Mother Teresa Awards in 2014, a Nepalese social activist and the founder and director of Maiti Nepal – a non-profit organization in Nepal, dedicated to helping victims of sex trafficking. I was quite surprised seeing the amazing birthday cakes that my friends as well as "Maiti Nepal" honored me with the written note "Go Green Nature" and "A Green Smile". Anuradha mam is too lovely and inspiring, i am glad to have her as my role model. |

Belated Happy Birthday Prakriti. I am sure that you must be knowing by now that your name means 'Nature' which is so apt for you. Your green foundation was laid when your parents gave you this name. Through your endless green efforts, you are living up to your name as Nature protector. Also, your birthday is on WED 5th June-WOW! Can't be another co-incidence. You were destined to be an inspirational youth environmental activist. Keep shining like this and keep inspiring us.
Glad to know that you were fortunate enough to meet your idol Ms Anuradha Koirela. I am in awe after reading about her accomplishments through your report and further on net.
