During the First Weeks Programme, all the participants stayed in National University of Malaysia (UKM). They would get orientation and capacity building before go to site projects. I arrived in Malaysia on 14th August 2013 together with three another Indonesian.
UKM is one of the biggest campus in Malaysia. It has a natural forest inside the Campus. This Campus also as the conservation for Long Tailed Macaque(common Monkey as we know). That?s why, we could see so many monkey around the Campus area. I think, it quiet interesting to stay there. The Monkey so friendly to the human. We didn?t permit to open the window, or the monkey would come.
During the Orientation about the programme, we got a development about how to identify a tree in UKM forest, Learning about Asean from Asean Secretary General, Leadership from Mr. Tan (Halogen Foundation), Training about First Aid, Emergency Response and CPR demonstartion. We learned more knowledge for our supply to impelemented in the Site project. We as Asean Youth Eco Leaders have to be responsible for our future generation through Asean Country. See you in the next report from the project site... J (Reported by Bambang Sutrisno, Indonesia)
