Industrialization effects on Eco-system

by Ishimwe Eric Josue | 05-10-2017 16:57 recommendations 1

The rapid growth of Industrialization and Over-exploitation of natural resources is currently destroying all facets of the Eco-system. The instance that, progress to economic growth and rapid growth of industrialization is amazing in different parts of the world however left some environmental species the victims of those revolutions.

There still some unsolved challenges between Industrialization and Eco-system, every country is blessed with specific environmental beauty schemes and wildlife. I know that, industrialization play an important role in economic growth of every nation, however left a bad environmental condition for future generations, including Global warming with the rise in industrial pollution, global warming will be increasing at a steady pace. Smoke and greenhouse gases which are being released by industries into the air will cause the increase in global warming. Melting of glaciers, extinction of polar beers, floods, tsunamis, hurricanes are few of the effects of global warming.

For many, well developed countries environment conditions need to be given a specific attention otherwise in the upcoming decades they will face toughest environmental issues including overheat, acidic rain, and all forms of pollution. This will bring a lot of environmental species on their exit. The issue of industrial pollution shows us that it causes natural rhythms and patterns to fail, meaning that the wildlife will be affected in a severe manner. Habitats will be lost, species will become extinct and it will be harder for the environment to recover from each natural disaster. Major industrial accidents like oil spills, fires, leak of radioactive material and damage to property are harder to clean-up as they have a higher impact in a shorter span of time.

The issue of industrial pollution concerns every country and states. As a result, many steps must be taken to seek permanent solutions to the problem. Better technology is being developed for disposal of waste and recycling as much polluted water in the industries as possible. Organic methods are being used to clean the water and soil, such as using microbes that naturally uses heavy metals and waste as feed. Policies are being pushed into place to prevent further misuse of land. However, industrial pollution is still rampant and will take many years to be brought under control. It therefore is imperative that a new interconnected form of environmental regulations and policies be implemented and enforced in every nation?s Economic policy which will improve conservation of Eco-system, while maintaining economic growth too.

    Hi Jihyeon, that's true.
the focus may be on what individuals can achieve themselves, but there must be also a collective will in treating our planet ethically 'TUNZA'.

Hi, Eric! Thanks for your report! You've really pointed out the essential point of industrialization's ambivalence. Adding to your report, our mother earth has its own eco-system circulation rhythm but it's going to be more and more difficult to sustain it according to increasing pollutions and harm damages from industrialization which interrupt the earth itself to reconstitute damaged eco-system. At this moment, strong regulations and policies to protect environments should be implemented to spread general awareness of environmental problems such as global warming and to motivate workers, companies, and even citizens to practice eco-friendly life on their own initiative.
We've already got plenty of warning messages from the earth as you can see many environmental accidents and troubles reported in media annually. The earth is getting hotter, dirty and even slow in recovery. We don't have time to hesitate anymore!

Eventually we'll realize that, if we destroy ecosystem we destroy ourselves.

Law and policy makers of the a country should take necessary initiatives so that industries may not harm the ecosystem. Industrialists should not just think of their own profit but the betterment of all. Now-a-days in many aspects of day to day life eco friendly technologies are being used which is very promising.

    Thanks for your report Eric.

Yes, I completely agree with you! It is indeed a global issue. This is one of the problems that countries all over the world must work together to find the best possible solution.

Hi Stephanie, (Hh, Just call me Eric ^_^). By the way, I don't think this concern some countries. On my behalf, this is global issue concerning all nations. You can't say because this is my country I've to do whatever please me.

Hi, Ishimwe Eric Josue! (I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused about how to address you, so I used your full name. What are you comfortable with? :)) Thank you for your report on the detrimental effects of industrialization to the ecosystem. The long-lived dispute of 'industrial development versus environmental protection' is indeed still unsolved. There's still a lot of controversy on whether developing countries should be able to cause deforestation and pollution in order to achieve industrial development. Some say that it is the right of the countries themselves and they are free to do what they want, while others say that they should be stopped from damaging our Earth. While both sides of the argument make a good point, it is unarguable that the damages of industrial development can be very severe. The methods that you've introduced, about using more advanced technology to solve problems with pollution, might be one of the solutions. I hope that we can find other solutions as well, as to meet all aspects of the problem. Nice work!
