Hi Eco-generation community, i need to draw your attention on my last report of 2017. This year was amazing, full of variety opportunities and amazing inventions and innovations particularly within environment sector. Me and my team have worked hard to be part of those changes.
Firstly, I want you to know a little about my team. Germain is a young committed guy. He is doing electronics engineering at the university of Rwanda College of Science and Technology (UR-CST). Pierre is also a young innovator and he invented a new way of making papers from banana fibers. He is doing civil engineering at the University of Rwanda College of Science and Technology. And finally I. I'm not going to talk a lot about me but I'm doing Business Administration With Hon. in Finance at the University of Rwanda College of Business and Economics. My team and I have worked on different promising projects but i'm going to share one of them related to this December's topic "Alternative Energy". In this case, we have started a project called "Climate Change Solution (CCS)", in which we invented a multi-task irrigation machine. We currently have project on papers but not yet implemented. The machine will perform different tasks depending upon climate changes and agricultural seasons. In sunny season, the machine will help farmers to irrigate their crops while in rainy season the machine will absorb water from the fields in order to avoid erosion and wash-away of the soil or crops. Water collected in rainy season will be treated and recycled for further usage in sunny season or other daily activities. Well, i know since you started going through this article, you have been asking yourself how is it related to energy! Yes it is. the machine will be using solar energy which will be converted to the normal electricity in order to accelerate generator and the dynamo while performing its work. there are different components of the machine that works together to perform all the above works, such as circuits, dynamo, generator, tank, pipes, solar panel etc. The intended objective of this article is not pitching our project but hence it will be helpful in my country based ofcourse on research and surveys we have carried out, it's worthy sharing. It is a promising solution on climate change especially in remote areas, where they have difficult to access electricity or it is too expensive. The same project might be applicable in your community, don't hesitate to kick on as soon as you found it. you might be the change your community want too see with perfect timing.

Hi, Eric! Wow, it's fascinating to read about the solar-powered irrigation machine that you and your team have invented! I think the CCS project using this machine sounds very practical and promising, and I think it could be put to use right away. I can't wait to see how it turns out! :D Great work!
