Timro Kawadiwala; A fresh environmental business

'Opportunity doesn't come to knock your door. It is all about finding and creating yourself.'  - Saugat Tiwari

Can you initiate a startup at zero investment? Do you have any startup ideas? Of course not! Startups cannot be done at very young age and requires huge investment is the perception we youths are having these days.

Saugat Tiwari and Ashik Bikram Khadka both are 19 years old undergraduate students who initiatedTimro Kawadiwala, a waste collecting and recycling business in hometown Chitwan at zero investment.

By seeing the busy lifestyle, urbanization and unmanaged waste in Chitwan they wanted to do something for better environment. This led them to initiate a startup and be a mediator between the trash collector and local people in collecting recyclable wastes.

'We ourselves will not be visiting door to door to collect the waste; we will be collaborating with waste company and provide the data and schedule that we collect to them and they themselves will visit the households to pick the waste' said Ashik.

'Just a miscall or message and kawadiwala will be at your doorstep.'

It's been a month we started our business. Now they focus mainly on the Narayangadh area and majorly the hotels, restaurants and café from which are the major source of wastes.

Very soon we will be expanding our working area and are planning to establish recycling factory by ourselves relating to zero waste concept.

I am really pleased to see my brothers starting a new concept for better earth and glad i am a part of it.

Hi, Ashtha! Reading about Timro Kawadiwala was very inspiring! This showed me, once again, that youths can take action and be leaders in environmental protection. The founders of Timro Kawadiwala, only 19 and undergraduates, have achieved so much through this business: reducing pollution through systematic waste collection and making a profit while they're at it! I'm looking forward to when they establish their recycling factory, because this will additionally permit waste reduction and the saving of resources. Thank you for introducing this story to us!

This can be a very good set of an example , from local to the national level on further days. I would love to be recruited in the circle and contribute in making our hometown, nation and why not even our global village , a better place to live in. Eco-soldiers in environmental protection.
