Hello Tunza Eco Generation Ambassadors! First of all, I?m happy that the 20th Eco-generation Regional Ambassador opportunity has come! I hope that students who dream to become an ambassador gets a chance. So today, I will report about ?What we can do for the environment?, which is the topic for this month January. People have been always thinking that saving Earth from global warming is a hard, difficult mission for us and only scientists and specific people could solve this. But, no. It is not as hard as you think. After this report, you?ll be thinking that almost everyone can participate in saving Earth. Most of us are not specific people, scientists who research about global warming. So, what can we do? The easiest way is changing your life schedule. Let?s start from the start of the day. Waking up on the morning, you go to wash to the loo. Wait, but don?t use too much water. People have predicted that on 2025 half of the people on Earth will have problems with getting enough water. Did you know that 72% of water we use in our houses is from the loo. A family of 4 usually uses 255L of water which is about a mid-sized fridge, so saving water in bathrooms will be pretty efficient. We can turn off taps when we brush out teeth, put bricks in potties etc. For today?s breakfast, you want to eat a peanut-butter jelly sandwich. Pop! The toasted bread comes out from the toaster. Toasters are used world-wide by lots of people. They usually use 800-1500 watt. To save electricity, what can we do? Lots of countries around the world have great policies about sustainable energy. You can buy mini-solar energy panels to install. If you try to find any way to participate in saving our Earth, There are actually really various ways. Going to work/school, you can use your bike or walk and use buses instead of riding your own car. Eat all the food you get from restaurants, school cafeterias etc. As you traveled a day with me. I wish you guys can participate in saving Earth like this. Also, not only participating, you can promote these ways to other people. As an example, our Tunza Eco Generation webpages. Hi, Rock! Thank you for introducing easy ways in which we can help the environment in our daily lives. It was fun reading your report, following every step of our morning routine and how we can make it better :) The brick-in-toilet trick is a very simple way to save water, which only requires one brick and nearly no effort at all! Also, getting only as much food as you'll eat is also a easy way to save food resources. This is not hard to do at all, and all it requires is just a little thought. Thank you for your report!
