Who will do it for you to benefit from it ? This was the biggest question I have ever asked myself.  During my secondary school, I was not good at all in environmental sciences. My grades were very bad. I was told by some of my teachers that all what I can excel in is literature. Taking seriously what they told me into account, I focused on literature where I started getting excellent grades. During the second cycle of my primary school studies; I chosed to study only literature. After my primary school studies. I studies literature , civilizations and social sciences at the University.

My passion for international development pushed me to attend conferences, workshops and seminars. Several topics were discussed during these conferences and seminars. I can attend all the seminars dealing with all issues except environment, because I consider it for scientists. When people are using figures to talk about climate change, when they are using scientific words like Carbon, CO2, H2O, 2 degree Celsius, I conclude that this issue can be solved only by those who studied sciences and environmental sciences.

One day I was home discussing with my friends, and we started talking about the level the sea that is increasing as the wharf has been consumed, the beach that is so dirty that tourists are no longer visiting it. They were also saying that the proliferation of mosquitoes is due to the proliferation of wastes which are not properly managed, and that is causing diseases like malaria and many children are dying from it. It is then I asked myself the toughest question I have never asked myself: who will do it for you to benefit from it? I understood that it is neither a matter of school nor of studies. It is not a matter of learning environmental sciences or being scientific. It is just a matter of dedication, and the will to do something.

Since that day, I started attending conferences on the environment, I started taking online courses and joining environmental NGOs and online communities. I decided to go far by taking actions. Due to my experience based on the fact that only environmental science students can solve environmental problems, I decided to carry out sensitization actions to let people know that they can do something at their own level to solve environmental issues. In addition to my sensitization activities, I started educating people to environmental issues and sustainability thanks to the resources I got with Tunza Eco Generation, my researches and online courses. To break the stereotype about studying environmental sciences to solve environmental issues, I focused on creating environmental clubs within secondary and primary schools. I and my team educate our club attendees to environmental issues around several topics offered by Tunza Eco Generation. We also equip our clubs with learning materials like pens, post-it and resources stocked on drive offered by Eco Generation. More, our clubs carry out clean up actions one time per month around their school and in the area where their school is located.

These efforts are very insufficient and we aim to go far. Therefore, our resolution this year is to set up environmental innovation labs to sort out brilliant ideas to solve environmental problems. We will transform our environmental clubs into hubs of reflection, and create a network for them to connect and work through the environmental innovation lab. Our aims through this lab are to tackle waste issue, sanitation issue, and set up a recycling lab to deal with solid waste. This year is to convert 200 primary and secondary school students into environmentalists. Now I have the answer to my toughest question: I am the one who should do it, I am the solution I have been looking for.
