While technologies are being developed that can remove carbon dioxide from the air, they aren't yet feasible on the scale needed to slow global warming, Europe's national science academies warn in a new report.
A wide array of technologies—from land management to ocean fertilization to capturing carbon dioxide from the air and storing it—are in various stages of testing and use, but according to the European Academies' Science Advisory Council, climate scientists and policymakers are being "seriously over-optimistic" about how much these approaches can help deal with the global warming crisis.

It is good invention but the question arises how much efficient it is, is to costly to afford it.Does it having any negative impact or not.

This is a great initiative and especially useful in places where there is less density of trees. These technologies are great but no substitute for green living! Also, there is another topic that is receiving a lot of attention lately and this is the artificial photosynthesis. Technology is absolutely essential for our survival but these technologies if they are eco-friendly, their combined effect is truly beneficial to mankind!!

Yeah read about it and the most interesting part is that it uses that CO2 in greenhouse plant
