Solar Roof By Tesla |

Hello everyone! This is my last report of the current term.
Last week while browsing through Facebook, I came across a video that really striked me. It was about an innovation being brought about by a very famous company, Tesla. They have started making "Solar Roofs". Basically normally what we see is Solar panels being installed on roof tops. In a way different from that here they have started making tiles, just like tiles of roof, which can harness solar energy and produce electricity. Its said it can produce lots of electricity for the house to run on and also it is powered with battery for power at night. The tiles look no different or maybe more elegant than common roofs. Tesla advertises it as the cost for each tile is lesser than normal roof tiles. Even though there are some people/websites disagreeing to this. Also they have done strength tests which point out that these tiles are much stronger, etc. Even though the product is commercial, the idea and the environmental engineering behind it needs to be commended. - George Zacharia

I saw many solar panel which installed in the roof separately. Some time break down because of extreme wind. But to build solar panel which directly attached with roof as a tiles really very unique and smart. George it will very much helpful to share the video link with us that you watched.

Its a great concept, George, turning the entire roof into a solar roof rather than installing on roof panels. Innovative and ground breaking product. Hope to see it getting popular and widely used.
