As we all know that climate change is a global issue and even today many people are unaware about its effect and the way to reduce it and the youths like us are so far from the opportunities to contribute to change the climate change. So keeping this in mind Nepal climate convergence team has successfully conducted the 4 days conference in Lumbini zone at Manglapur .
In between 27 participant Lumbini climate convergence has been conducted and the participants were from around the lumbini zone and mostly the students of IAAS. Luckily I was also one of the participant there and it was a great chance for me to understand more about the global climate change and its impacts. I'm also a students of agriculture so its very important for me to understand the impact of climate change in agriculture and how do agriculture contribute to the production of GHGs. At final day we got to know that the particulate matter of Lumbini (birth place of lord Buddha) which has been included in UNESCO world heritage sites has the PM2.0 is 58 and PM10 is 123 which is not the normal level. The air has been polluted due to the cement factories which are established within the 15KM periphery of the world heritage site. We the participants of LCC went there for the poster protest and got chance to meet a monk who is fighting against the air pollution of Lumbini since 25 years. Its our great responsibility to fight against this air pollution increasing in the world heritage sites of Nepal. Lets join our hands for a better cause, "lets save Lumbini".
