Symposium on Environmental Science: Scopes and Issue |

Club of Environmental Science Saptagandaki (CESS) had successfully organized an event "Symposium on Environmental Science: Scopes and Issue" on 7th April 2018. This event was organized at Saptagandaki Multiple Campus, Chitwan. A total of 43 participants attended the event. The event was divided into different sessions. Various topics were included on the event like: Environment and Entrepreneurship, Herpetofauna, Birds etc. The schedule is listed below: Speaker DB Chaudhary talked about the Vulture Restaurant, status of vultures in Nepal, their behaviors, bird migration, their habitat and so on. Similarly, Anirudra Sapkota talked about Snake Rescue and Snake Bite Management. Anirudra Sapkota is a snake and gharial rescuer. He has been rescuing snakes since a long time. Speaker Dhruba Acharya talked about Disaster Risk Reduction and Prakash Pokhrel talked about Environmental Entrepreneurship. Speaker Bikash Pathak talked about Anti-Poaching. He shared his experience about his works on antipoaching field. He is also co-coordinator of Community Based Anti-Poaching Unit (CBAPU). Similarly, speaker Narayan Niroula talked about the current status of wildlife status and threats, IUCN threatened species, Dynamism of the Environment, process of the current Biodiversity Pattern etc. Campus Chief Khem Narayan Sapkota conveyed special thanks to all the speakers, participants and the organizing team for organizing this event. President Mahesh Sapkota said "This is the first event organized by the new board member. This program is believed to have acted as a strong tool for gaining knowledge about environmental entrepreneurship and about wildlife too. I'd like to thank every participant of the event. We expect such support from you all in the days to come". About CESS: CESS is a eco club of Saptagandaki Multiple Campus founded by students of Environmental Science in 2014 AD. I've been involved on CESS from 2014 AD. I've been organizing and coordinating and participating various events from CESS. Recently our term was finished and we handed over to the new members. I would like to thank personally to the President Mahesh Sapkota and the whole team for organizing this event. This kind of events should be conducted to encourage students on Environmental and Wildlife Conservation. Thank you for putting this together, It is very important for young people to come get involved in such discussion and acquire as much knowledge as possible about ecology

Hello Bharat!
Thanks for introducing CESS club to us! I also remember being a member of an eco-friendly club when I was younger. Even though I was young at that age I felt that such activities not only strengthens its member but engages in enlightening others outside the club too. I wish every good luck on the CESS club and hope that it would continue to do great work! If any other interesting activities are organized by the club, please inform us about it!!
