International endangered species day was held on the 18th of May 2018. I was privileged to be invited by the US Embassy to be part of the guests at the event. In celebration of the day, the US Embassy launched the #YALI4WILDLIFE. The aforementioned is a campaign to raise awareness and encourage positive action against illegal poaching in Zambia. It was really a beautiful event and i believe the measures that were discussed are extremely beneficial to Zambia as a whole. Most of the mentioned measures were in relation to education of the importance of biodiversity and also the penalties for illegal poachers and how to catch them in the act. If more of such initiatives are created, we shall be able to protect our animal and plant species.

Hi Bwalya!
Firstly, congratulations on getting an invite to the embassy event!
Secondly, I am more than thrilled to know that the fight for animal poaching is still going strong. Keep us in the loop with regards to it please.
Lovely report!

It's rare to see or record environmental exchanges internationally between the US Embassy and Zambia. I am glad that you posted the records.
