Food waste Food waste is a serious problem in today?s worlds, developed countries have lots of food and developing country is deprived of food for many people. One group of people are dying because of obesity and next group are dying of malnutrition, some have a lot of choice while some do not have any food. Today, one of the main global challenges is how to ensure food security while ensuring long-term sustainable development. According to the United Nations, the world?s population is expected to reach 10.5 billion by 2050. This translates into 33 percent more mouths to feed. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), food production needs to grow by 70 percent to feed this ballooning population. I have some collection of photos that explain the situation of food waste in globe.

Hello Deepak, many people are not used to classify and throw out food waste properly. For example, in my country, chicken bones are thrown landfill, but pig bones are not. We may think these two types of bones literally belong to 'bone' group, but treating them differ in the end.
Thanks for sharing the specific list of food waste management, and hope other regional ambassadors take a look and implement this into their living habits!

Hello Deepak
It is unfortunate that food are wated in some places when it is lacked in other places.
To resolve this imbalance the first thing will be to only comsume the needed amount and not to exceed the neccesity. Also for a macro view, a more precise prediction of demand is important in mass providing systems so that no left owver would be made by the mismatch of supply and demand!
Thanks fort the report :)
