Reduce, Remove, Conserve (Self-started club) November Update

by Aaditya Saha | 21-11-2018 04:40 recommendations 1

My Club has made a lot of significant progress since last month. The first activity that we did this month is to celebrate America Recycles Day on November 15. We participated in this challenge by collecting pledges and encouraging all of the students at our school to recycle everything they can, especially plastic. During lunchtime, we campaigned to our fellow students in the cafeteria to sign pledges regarding being more proactive to recycle plastic and being more eco-friendly. We collected more than 200 signatures in one day. Many of my fellow students congratulated us for taking this initiative and promised that they will follow or abide by this pledge in their daily life. The second activity we did was open a booth for our RRC club on the evening of our school¡¯s International Festival. We helped spread awareness among more than 500 students and parents who attended this festival. Many people stopped at our booth, including parents and staff, and was curious to find out the activities we were doing with our club. We explained the vision of our club and requested them to sign the pledge. We collected another 100 pledges on that evening. We were successful in spreading our message to everyone that the world needs to be environmentally conscious.
