Africa's dryland trees also provide global benefit from their climate change mitigation capacity. However their vulnerable to climate variability and change.Fourth Assesment Report treescast that global greenhouse gas emission will continue to grow over the next few decades and indicates that the likely impacts of climate change may be greater in Africa than in other continents including an increase in extreme climatic conditions(droughts, floods, and wild fire)

Southern and Northern Africa are likely to experience water stress.According to climate change could result in shrinking of tropical trees in Africa.
