China's great natural beauty

Hi guys, I am the seventh ambassador representing the region of China. This first article is of nothing professional, but I wanted to let you know about the supreme beauty of China's environment.  Last year, while watching a documentary film named <Wild China>, I learned about the remarkable natural wealth of the country, scattered all over the large lands.

China has many rare animal species as well as unique natural sites. Let me show you some of China's beautiful natural ecosystems(the images below are in the same order with the descriptions):

Zhangjiajie-This region has many limestone mountains, so the limestone components got mixed in the lake water and made up this impossible shade of aquamarine. There is an eerie forest of algae underwater, home to fish species found only here.

Shagri-la- Located in Southern China's Yunnan province, this is where China's natural wealth is the greatest. Because of the climate similar to tropical regions, rain forests thrive here, in which about 70 percent of China's endangered animal species live. This is also where an enormous diversity of plants is found.

Tibet-In the Qin Ling mountains of Tibet, the Yalung river has created the biggest gorges in the world. It is not clearly seen in the still photo, but this gorge is 3times deeper than America's Grand Canyon.

The supreme beauty of China's environment is perhaps the most easy-to-admit reason why it should be preserved. Sadly, the Chinese are not avid environmental conservationists. Generally they view the ecosystem as something to make use of. Instead of protecting rare animal species, they prefer to cook them as gourmet delicacies. (I will post another article about this later) Instead of protecting beautiful natural sites, they prefer to develop that area into tourist attractions. It is sad that they are not able to recognize the true value of their environment when there is a good enough reason to preserve it.
