Creating awareness among children

by Sumit Chowdhury | 09-01-2019 23:35 recommendations 0

Waste management is a burning issue for a developing and densely populated country like Bangladesh. Wastes are the root cause of water and soil pollution. That's why to aware children about wastes and waste management a school campaign was organized at a school in Sylhet city of Bangladesh. The students of class 6 at the Shahjalal University School participated the program. The program was organized with the goods given by Tunza Eco-generation and the members of the environmental organization "Green Explore Society". A brief presentation was given about wastes, their affect and waste management. The enthusiastic young participators responded actively in the program and showed their interest in waste management especially in recycling. Their interest and love towards mother nature was really very promising. An essay writing competition was held and prizes were given to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd positions.

The school authority and the students showed great interest to organize this program. They wish to participate in this kind of events often. So, with this great response we are looking forward to organizing more school campaigns in different schools in Sylhet city and the rural areas of Bangladesh.
