As I shared with you about my research going on "Effects of Seed Priming in Germination Parameters on Maize", I feel glad to inform you that lab work of the research has been completed. As data analysis, literature Review and Interpretation of Result takes long time, I will share you the result once the whole process gets complete. Today I am going share you the abstract of the research and Involvement of Tunza EcoGeneration during this research along with photographs of the research. Abstract Drought stress during the imbibition phase of germination is the primary reason for both inhibition or delayed seed germination and seedling establishment. Rapid germination of seed and emergence of seedling is pre-requisite for the good maize production under adverse environmental stresses like salinity, drought soil and high and low temperature which has been reported under seed priming in osmoticum such as mannitol, polyethylene glycol (PEG). To enhance the pre-sowing metabolic activities priming is done that ensures the high germination percentage. An experiment will be conducted in Lab on new variety 940 of Maize primed with Mannitol of 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% (w/v) concentrations with artificial drought condition created by using different concentration of salt solutions viz. 1.5 bar, 4.9 bar, 10.3 bar, 17.6 bar to study the effect of priming by mannitol on germination of maize in water stress environment performed as factorial experiment under completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. Involvement of Tunza EcoGeneration As this research was also designed as Agronomy Project Work for 33 students of Sixth Semester at IAAS Lamjung, Tribhuwan University, all the students were to be present when the data were recorded for around 15 days. During these says, with the main aim of promoting the elite platform of Tunza EcoGeneration, I was present wearing the Tunza T shirt. (I have already uploaded my photo with Tunza Tshirt in my previous report). I have attached few more pictures of the research with this report. Apart from that shoot and root length were to be recorded as the data of the research and Tunza Eco Scale were used for it. Students were surprised when I shared them about Eco friendly scale at first. They were really interested to know more about Tunza Eco Generation, so I explained about our platform and how they can get involved and engaged in it.

Hello Kushal, providing research itself is not an easy job and providing excerpt in abstract form is a bit troublesome task to do so. Despite these procedures and feelings, it is always good to see how it goes alike as you literally show us what you are aiming at :)
Thanks for your report

Hello Kushal
The last report on seed priming concerning germination was interesting was personally very much inspired that every step of breeding crops are completed with delicate progress according to its scientific principles.
When the data analysis and interpretation are done please let us know!
Thanks for sharing more about your research and also many thanks for spreading the green spirit of Tunza :)
