Bio Diversity garden in Budhanilkantha School On August 17, first meeting regarding the construction of biological garden in Budhanilkantha School was held. The garden is planned to be first of its type and it aims to set example among all the schools and the nation as a whole. The program was attended by the principal, teachers, and some of the students. The organizers, who are also the pioneer of this program, are: -Pratap Kumar Shrestha, PhD, (Regional Representative and Scientific Advisor for USC Canada Asia Office in Nepal) -Bharat Bhandari (senior agriculture specialist) -Dharma Raj Dangol (senior research scientist, Professor and PhD holder) Main aim of this botanical garden is to promote practical learning in the matters of bio diversity. It can also help in the research programs. This garden will have plants and animals of wide range and effort has been made to collect variety of the species from all over the Nepal. The garden is organized in a proper manner and the places and spot for planting the trees according to their nature has been already done. The co-coordinator for this work is Mr. Dhurba Kumar Shrestha. Apart from this it will have big nursery, as well as seed bank and gene bank. The estimated budget for this project is $ 70,000 at the preliminary phase. From next year it will increase significantly.
The work for its construction will be running throughout the year and we are planning to organize seed festival in the month of October. |

That's a great idea.
So, $70,000 is for only one bio garden like that, or how many garden can you build in your project?
I hope it's cheap to we can make it popular in the developing country :)
There are some similar project in Vietnam. I will collect info and share with you guys soon
