HIV RUN 2018 - Awareness of HIV

by Rock Lee | 10-02-2019 21:43 recommendations 0

Last October 23, the Thai Red Cross Society hosted a marathon run called ¡®HIV RUN¡¯ with lots of companies like SCB Bank, UNICEF, Milo, MK in Lumpini Park. I participated in it with lots of other friends. Everyone who participated got to donate money for making a cure for HIV. When I first heard about the race, I ran to our school¡¯s office so I could participate and I gathered a lot of friends telling them that we could help a lot of people just for paying some money and participating.

HIV is a virus that attacks cells in the immune system, the system that protects us and fights off against illness. As HIV viruses attack and attack, our body¡¯s immune system will get weaker, unable to defend our body from diseases and illness. HIV is found in semen, breastmilk, blood, vaginal and anal fluids, and cannot be transmitted through sweat, saliva, or urine.

My friends were already aware of Tunza Eco Generation, so we decided to take a picture of ourselves before the race started around 5am in the morning. Also, I promoted Tunza Eco Generation in our school by giving out goods such as the pencils, brochures to who participated in the HIV RUN. I hope in next year¡¯s HIV RUN I can see Tunza Eco Generation¡¯s Logo in the sponsors.

HIV, and these kind of sex diseases might be not related with Tunza Eco Generation since it¡¯s not environmental or stuff, but I think if it¡¯s a problem that¡¯s hurting Earth, it is also a issue Tunza Eco Generation ambassadors MUST talk about. Let¡¯s also take up a step for HIV! Thanks for reading my report!

    Wow, lots of participants!
It is really good to know that you have introduced TUNZA E-gen to your friend before and they were aware of our platform before your HIV Run 2018 participation!
Though HIV itself literally seems like it is far from environmental problems, we have to face the fact that many countries where many people are struggling wit HIV do have environmental problems that come from sanitation, hygiene, clean water accessibility and other infrastructure-related problems.
We have to think about them related with other issues, too
Thanks for your effort and sharing your experience with us!

    Hello Rock Lee
To improve, the first step in every solution is to raise awareness and to bring people to conscious of such matters.
Thanks for sharing about the HIV RUN!

The more we raise awareness, the more we reduce transmission rates drastically. Knowledge is power in all aspects be it about human health or environmental health. Glad you were involved and thanks for the report!

    Hello Rocklee

Thank you for the report. Glad that you participate in the event. HIV AIDS is also a problem that has been hurting with the humans as there is no medicine that cures this disease. Although this is not the issue of environment but is surely a issue that needs to be discussed.

    Keep writing great reports.
Keep participating in events around you.
    Green Cheers from Nepal

    Yours,
    Kushal Naharki
