Kislovodsk resort Park, and recently it is called the National Park, one of the largest man-made parks in Europe. Its territory is huge-965 hectares, it originates in the center of the resort town of Kislovodsk and goes to the mountains. The Park is the main attraction of the city of Kislovodsk. The Park is divided into three parts (according to the height of their landscapes) - Lower, Middle and Upper (or as it is called - Mountain). The oldest of these is the Lower Park. The Park appeared in 1823. Because of the healing Narzan place was profitable and attractive, but not quite beautiful. Then we decided to plant all the trees here. Gradually began to appear Lower, Middle and Upper parks. Later in Kislovodsk began to bring exotic trees from all over Russia. Today, the Park has about 300 species of trees and shrubs. And some species do not coexist in the wild, and here – Yes. Involved in the construction were clearly not civilian forces-soldiers 'hands were" paved " almost the entire Lower Park. This verb is not accidental – because the pioneers had to deal with rocky soil, here specially imported fertile black soil. That's how the first trees were planted on the banks of the small river Olkhovka. Now these giants are practically propping up the sky! At one of the entrances to the Park there is a stone block, which shows the scheme of the Park and some historical information about the Park. The Park has many attractions, both natural and man-made, I will name the most basic and those that we had time to visit. The most important and most beautiful attraction is the Valley of Roses. It is possible to contemplate from the height of bird flight, for this we need to ride cable car. And you can admire the beauty of roses near, walking along the neat colorful flower beds, while enjoying the pink-coniferous aromas. One of the main attractions of natural origin – the so-called Red stones, it is their natural color due to impurities of nitrogen hydroxide. On one of the stones there is a symbol of Caucasian mineral waters and its business card – a sculpture of an eagle. The Park has interesting buildings-a Cascade staircase, a colonnade of the main entrance, galleries and pavilions. Special attention is given to the air Temple. They say that in the place where the temple stands - the most healing air in all Kislovodsk. More than 250 tree species, more than 900 species of herbaceous plants, more than 200 species of birds and about 40 species of mammals are registered on the territory of the national Park "Kislovodsk". At the same time, about 50 species of plants and animals are listed in the Red book. Among the most important therapeutic and recreational resources of the Park is a favorable climate with highly ionized air, on its territory there are also mineral springs, organized infrastructure, including footpaths with a total length of about 90 kilometers. In the Park there are many shady avenues, on both sides of which grow slender cypresses or pyramidal thuja, they form a kind of natural tunnel, walk through which is a pleasure. The alleys are very different in width and length, the quality of the flooring, the variety of trees, but they are all amazingly beautiful. There are alleys with Bicycle paths. If you are tired, you can sit down to relax, many alleys have benches. Until 2030 Kislovodsk will receive 78 billion rubles for the comprehensive development of the resort. The city development plan was approved at the end of 2016 by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. This is a list of 82 measures aimed at the preservation and development of medical and Spa potential, the development of infrastructure of mass recreation and improvement of the city, as well as the preservation of objects of historical and cultural value. Now the concept of development is being implemented in the Park, within the framework of which excursion routes through the Park with the use of electric cars are developed, it is planned to open sports zones, Bicycle paths and other events. |

Hello Nikolay, thanks for introducing such a nice place to all of us.
Though there are many attractive landscape and elements in Kislovodsk Resort Park, red stones sound really peculiar and outstanding since their impurities do mark themselves as 'unique stones'.
Thanks for your report, and hope Kislovodsk Resort Park can keep its current popularity till 2030 and proceed onto next typical steps of reservation :)
