I am happy to be back again as an Ambassador. It is not a job that I take lightly. My top most concern is of course climate change and global warming. Scientists have warned that we have only 12 years to get things in order. As a scientist myself, this is gravely concerning. Can we do enough within those 12 years? Can green energy fully replace fossil fuels? Can our buildings be re-done to be green and economical? Can we change the planning our cities to stop the effects of urban heat islands? What about food security? And health? As you can see, there are a lot of concerns. And 12 years is a very short time, so we should get to work immediately. This is why, in 2019, I will be doubling my environmental efforts. What will do this new year to help avert the impending crisis?
