Our big battle against plastic pollution; does my small effort matter? |

Humanity of this century have been exploiting the use of this plastic polymer for almost everything in their daily routine. The morning begins with plastic brush and day revolves around plastic bags and night ends with plastic trashes. Although the burgeoning problem of plastic pollution has attracted unprecedented attention of the global community but the root of problem lie as it is. No problem can be solved without eliminating the roots. Barak Obama once said we are the first generation facing the effects of these types and probably the last one which can act against the same. So, it is the time to act. Now let's jump straight into the topic Does my small effort matters? The answer is big YES. If you act so will the community because remember you are the changemaker. Let's go with an example of mine, When I was in Grade 12 I learned these plastic bags are not good So I decided not to use these bags as far as possible. I used to carry a Cloth bag instead whenever I needed. Slowly My friends started the same, my family members also started carrying such cloth bags. That was my small effort in a big fight against plastic pollution. If you want to be a part of some useful change lead it because youth can lead better. |

This is a great report on the issue of not using plastic bags. After reading this report, I can understand that not using plastic bags is an important part of environmental maintenance, and this requires more people to participate. Small Act can have a great impact and I did an online environment awareness campaign 'Small Act Great Impact' for awaring people about the great impact caused by the our small impact to protect our environment. We must be responsible and our small acts too can contribute for the great cause for us to beat plastic pollution. I too have the campaign, 'The Waste Pocket' to beat the plastic pollution.

This is really a good report and I strongly believe that your small efforts will eventually become a powerful force altogether at the end. Actually I am trying to reduce my plastics usage by using my own cup, eco-bag and so on. Although we are contributing as individuals now, all our efforts will be powerful and effective if we keep trying to meet your goal. I hope you can also keep doing good work!

Thank you for your great report. I really like how you introduce your own experience and encourage others to do so! My family has also started to use cloth bags when going grocery stores since a few years. However, even so, I can't deny that I end up using so many plastic products every day. Thank you for your great report again but it would be much better if you attach a related picture with your report! It would be very helpful if you can introduce some of the things that you do in your daily life to use less plastic in your next report!
