World Biodiversity day 2019

Theme for 2019:  Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health

Agriculture and forestry University, Independent students of veterinary science, agriculture science under eco-tunza generation and NAPSA celebrated World Biodiversity day 2019. Early morning at 7 around 45 students gathered outside the dean office and prepared for a rally. Playcards including message to protect our biodiversity were displayed. The rally (marchpass) revolved around the local market and university premises covering almost 2km. Students chanted various slogans on the way.  At the later stage the rally was converted into an interactive programme with local farmers and scholars. Vice dean of Agriculture and forestry University, veterinary department chaired the programme.  around 10 local politicians and activists spoke about the importance of biodiversity to people like us. Additionally, fingerlings were also introduced on the nearby wetland. The locals complained about the decreasing condition of wetland and increasing pollution.

Being an environmental campaigner, I am happy to organize such impactful programme on the occasion of World Biodiversity day 2019.

Here are some photos of the programme:

Well done on hosting the event. There was alot of people who turned up for the event. It is very important to voice out the importance of protecting our Earth. And it's great that the one problem mentioned at the event (the degraded wetlands) was resolved.
