You might understand from the book name that this book offers an insight at the African continent environment. That’s true, it focuses and discusses about the various issues faced by the continent maybe it is climate change, the continent’s biodiversity and how the fauna and flora can be conserved and preserved. The book consists of 11 chapters with splendid photos, drawings and graphs. It is interesting to read through the different chapters and acquire knowledge regarding the life on the continent. The topics are illustrated in a logical manner which can be understood easily by anyone. First of all, it starts with details explaining how the life on earth was at the beginning and how it had evolved and developed. It depicts how our solar system came into existence and how our planet has changed and transformed. It also explains how human beings originated in the continent and slowly how they have evolved and become modern. It also explores the life in fresh water, oceans and land. The working of ecosystems is well illustrated. In addition, it explains how the environmental factors act together in sustaining all the ecosystems. It mainly focuses on African ecosystems. The topics covered in this book are: 1. Life on Earth 2. The Diversity of Life Today 3. How Our World Works 4. How Population Works 5. Communities of Life 7. Life in Fresh Water 9. Life on Land 10. The Rise of Humans 11. Caring for our Planet It is the prime responsibility of us, the global citizens, to ensure that we heal the environment and love the planet. We need to ensure and raise environmental awareness and educate the students, and other citizens regarding the dangers and effects of pollution, deforestation and irresponsible use of natural resources. We need to take small steps towards preserving and protecting our Mother Earth. It also teaches about being responsible, plan and management our natural resources so that we can ensure environment sustainability. Hi Saniath,
Thank you for writing this report in a very concise format. As this book contains some history about this earth, from my perspective it seems this book is pretty comprehensive in its content. I would love to read this book later.

Thank you for the recommendation! As the name of the book suggests, ‘African Perspective?? seems to covers fauna and flora of Africa and ways to preserve it.
