Trees And Us

by Thawdar Aung | 23-06-2019 00:33 recommendations 0

In this report, I would like to mention about some benefits of a tree and hope this can help you a bit in saving the environment. People usually says ¡°Plant a tree, this help the environment many ways!¡±  But the thing is do we really know how and why we should plant a tree? We need more details.

This summer was such a remarkable time with the highest temperature of the history for some South-East Asean countries and as the consequences, people use  too much air conditioners to endure the heat. Using an air conditioner can only be good for a short period of time. After some time, it will support the greenhouse effect. Generally, trees can give a house or a place shade and make the surrounding air be cool. That makes 9% cheap of expenses by using air conditioner at your place. Moreover, a tree absorbs 48 pound of CO2 every year and a 40yr- old -tree can absorb a ton of CO2. The oxygen usage of a person per year is 400 lbs and this is just for normal condition and if a person do exercises, more O2 will be used. As human inhale O2 and exhale CO2, trees are opposite of us. By absorbing various gases in the polluted air in their leaves and bark, they make clean air and emit the O2 we need.  In addition, trees help to prevent soil erosion, flood, fire, conserving biodiversity, producing medicines and the like.

One more interesting advantaged fact of trees is they help for our mental health too. Due to some research outcome, exercising and jogging at places where are verdant and leafy forest make a person gain more mind power and improve one¡¯s memory.

Planting a tree also needs to be systematic and make sure to take care of it till it reaches certain useful period. Unless cost of buying, time of planting and effort we used will become useless. So that, we have to take care of trees that already big enough and plants that still need enough water and light. Like we cannot drink clean water as soon as we dig a well, we have to be patient about planting and it will surely give advantages to our next generation.

    Hello Thawdar,

I really like your title - Trees and us. Yes, in fact there is a close connection with humans and trees and it is fact that we actually benefited a lot from tree by using them to make various products such as papers and desk. At the same time, trees are also good at maintaining good environment and save the land by protecting the properties from natural disasters such as typhoons and tornadoes. I think we should plant more tree and have appreciations to thank them for what they have given us.

    Hello Thawdar

Thank you for explaining us the benefits of trees! That trees can enhance quality of air by absorbing co2 is well known but the fact that trees can relieve the stresses is quite unfamiliar. Plus, trees can provide shelters for insects and animals too. After reading your report, I have realized the importance of undertaking systematic tree planting. Keep up the good work.
