Greta Thunberg started something big for Western children with Fridays for Future. If you have not yet heard of it, Fridays for Future is a movement where children do not go to school on Friday and instead protest outside government offices and such for climate action. The movement is very big in Western countries and is getting a lot of coverage, which is good. Many Western governments have now started talking about climate action because of Fridays for Future. However, when talking about climate protests, we often frame the discussion around Westerners. For non-Westerners, what climate movements are there in your country?

Hello Yvonne Wabai
In my country, there are a lot of campaigns that encourage students to pick up the trash in public parks. Also, afforestation campaigns that inspire people to plant a tree are often found.

Hey there Yvonne,
Your statement is accurate and a true reality. In my case, protesting here can a a peaceful thing, but more often than not, it turns violent. So far, I have to come across an article of violent climate change protests here, but I would like to see more youth and children participate in these protests.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and engaging them with us Yvonne,
With gratitude,
Rosa

Hello Yvonne
I do hope that you are fine and doing great with your works.
Thank you for your report about Fridays for Future. Its good to hear about children taking an initiative against climate change. In the context of developing countries, people are still unaware about it. The issue of climate justice also arise when we talk about developing countries as they contribute very less to the global green house gases too.
Green Cheers from Nepal :)
Keep writing great reports.
We are eager to read more reports from you.
Regards,
Kushal Naharki
