{ free report} Carry your own bag!

by Dibya Bhatta | 20-07-2019 18:40 recommendations 0

Kathmandu alone uses around 4,700,000 to 4,800,000 plastic bags daily. In Nepal, 16 percent of urban waste is comprised of plastic, which is 2.7 tons of daily plastic garbage production.A huge amount of plastic finds its way into river systems, and eventually into the global ocean ecology.
The small choices we make in our everyday life add up to making a big difference for the overall environment. Every time you make a conscious effort to avoid or recycle plastic products, you are lowering the risk of environmental damage—and ultimately, your own health.
In April 2015 Nepal declared Kathmandu a polythene bag-free zone.Kathmandu is still a long way from being completely free from plastic bags.
Carry your own bag to the market to reduce plastic waste! Daily life is equally comfortable with reduced plastic!
Next day,When you walk along the departmental store and at the end of your shopping tell them to put the stuff on your own bag with pride!By doing so you can motivate At least a few people around you!
Carry your own cotton bag and encourage others too.
By doing so you can also reduce your carbon footprint,Get rid of few kg of plastic waste that comes to your home every month!
Even the smallest effort can bring about the great difference!

    Hi Dibya,

I think this is really a good initiative as it is important for us to carry our own bag instead of using plastic bags. By doing so, it will save a lot of plastics bags and this will directly help conserving the environment. Please keep up with your good deeds.

    Hello Dibya

Carrying your own bag can be an effective way in reducing plastic use. Considering that getting rid of plastic waste will eventually benefit human health, we should always consciously put our effort to avoid using plastic products, especially when it comes to plastic bags or bottles that can easily be replaced.
I look forward to reading more reports from you!

    Hey there Dibya!

I hope you're well. The idea or the notion of taking your own bag is a very realistic, practical and eco-friendly idea. I noti only carry cotton bags but I carry used plastic bags to the shop so that they instead of giving me more bags, I use my own.

Thank you for encouraging and reminding us of this nifty and enviro-friendly trick!
Keep up your ambassadorial duties and work as diligently and as headstrong as you have been doing!

    Well done and take care,
    With gratitude,
    Rosa Tiimuma Domingos
