Many trees in the South-West USA are being burned down ruthlessly by the wildfires that erupt each year. This June, the wild fire in Arizona was the state's largest wildfire, breaking temperature and destruction records that was set in 2002 by another wildfire. This time, the problem was so great, that loggers and environmentalists decided to work together so that both sides get an advantage. They will selectively cut down a certain amount of trees so that fire will not spread too quickly that it gets out of control and burn down almost entire forests within weeks. I agree that this plan is effective and helps manage our forests much more sustainably.
