YOUTHS AND THE ENVIRONMENT

by Muekara Monday | 19-09-2019 12:24 recommendations 0

The world' most greatest challenge in this 21st century is Climate crisis and the biggest problem is young people sitting back to complain. We must first understand that the children and young people are the most vulnerable to environmental disaster especially climate crisis, hence must take adequate actions to secure their future.
While our parents spent much of their time in a well furnished, air conditioned office space, the children/youths spent much of our time at homes and on the streets. Therefore, the Children and young people must take bold step today, embark on climate actions to win the must win race against climate change.
Advocacy and campaigns are just very perfect actions against climate change, for policy makers to change the system. The featured photo is just one of what am talking about, I organised over 300 school children/youths to the streets - demand quick transition from fossil fuel to renewable energy.
And tomorrow 20th September, 2019, history will be made as over 120 countries embark on climate strike.
School Children and Young people will seat at homes demanding for system change. You can join this global climate strike. Be part of history.
In Nigeria, I am organising one in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. You can sign up here

Now is the time transition to renewable energy is not an option, but must.
