With new technologies like wind, solar, and advanced batteries in our hands right now, we can power today and tomorrow with clean, reliable, and affordable renewable energy that doesn¡¯t harm our health or destroy our planet. Around the world, cities, states, countries, and companies (and people just like you!) are making the switch to clean, renewable solar energy to take control of their energy futures — and because it just makes good economic sense. Renewable energy- solar energy No matter wherever you are in the earth, any geographical areas, unaccess able, distant place; you are showered with the energy of sun. Sun- reachable in every kind of place any where; matter is only about time and weather. Continuous fusion reaction of medium sized star i.e. sun gives us enormous amount of light and heat in form of solar energy. Light is source of life, life generator. Life of plant and animal relay on the light of sun. Plant depend on solar radiation for carrying photosynthesis process growth and production of seeds, fruits. You have listened and learned about solar panel, then curosity may arrived about how they are made, what's the real mechanism behind generation of electricity via solar panel. Here you go! Science behind electricity generated through solar panels The large black solar panels you see on homes and businesses are made of a bunch of solar cells (or photovoltaic cells) made of silicon semiconductors that absorb sunlight and create an electric current. These individual cells are connected together to make one solar panel. If you want to get even more technical, you can look at the structure of these individual solar cells. They¡¯re made of two types of semiconductors: a positive (p-type) and a negative (n-type) silicon layers. Did you know that the sun can provide more energy in an hour than all of humanity uses in a year? Scientists estimate that more than enough solar energy strikes the planet every hour to power the entire globe for a full year. Yep, that¡¯s right! Every hour. So when we talk about solar, we¡¯re talking about an inexhaustible supply of clean, safe, reliable energy that people and countries across the planet can access to power their lives and economies. Renewable energy should be clean and affordable. However solar energy happen to be somehow costier, which is overcomed by providing incentives, subsidy in the solar panel. In Nepal, Government of Nepal had provided special provision on the solar panel, public can get special discount on the purchase, if they switched to the solar mode of energy generation. That's the welcomed decision of the government and through this we can say that government is also on the way of implementing the SDGs goals. At the same time, fossil fuel utilities are engaging in deceptive tactics to try to forestall the inevitable and protect their billions in profits – at the expense of people all over the world trying to live healthy, safe, independent lives. Overall matter is to achieve the common goals of increasing the use of solar energy in meeting energy needs of countries in a safe, convenient, affordable, equitable and sustainable manner. Some working organization for renewable solar energy projects are:- A) International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) B) Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership(REEEP) C) International Solar Alliance (ISA) D) International Energy Agency (IEA) E) United Nations bodies, bilateral organizations etc. |

Hello Sandip
You mentioned about a good point. Energy from the sun is the root of all living things in the earth and the true sources of all kind of energy. It's humans's share to use them efficiently and wisely without hurting the mother earth. These days, efficiency of solar panels is the biggest challenge in deployment of solar energy. I hope this limitation is overcome as soon as possible and human society can fully utilize energy from the sun.
Thank you for the great report.

Hey Sandip!
This is your mentor Lisa:)
I am really impressed with what your government is doing to promote the usage of renewable energy sources. Price is definitely a barrier that prevents renewable energy to be distributed among the general public. If that can be solved by government substitution or technological innovations, people would not hesitate to replace traditional fossil fuel with renewable energy sources.
I really like how your report has lots of information, it seems like you have done some reseraches!! Nice Job and I really look forward to your next report:)
