The terms plastics includes materials composed of various elements such as carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, chlorine and sulfur. Plastics also called polymers are produced by the conversion of natural products or the synthesis from primary chemicals from oil, natural gas, or coal. Compared to other materials plastics are much more used materials ever by the persons for their daily needs, daily activities. Plastics are light weight materials with excellent chemical stability, durability due to this properties people are using this so excessively without any consensus of its negative and deteriorating effect on the environment due to its accumulation. Plastics takes nearly 50-1000 years for its decomposition. So now being an agriculturist what I have planned and is doing is that, I am just reusing all those noodles, chips wrappers to plant something that add beauty and contribute something to this environment, Using the most famous wrapper found most accessibly i.e Wai Wai noodles wrapper, I filled it with soil and propagated Gerbera an ornamental flowers by its corm, After 15 days of plantation of corm I saw a success of propagation on that plastic wrapper, I am so happy that my Gerbera will now bloom on that thrown wrappers!!!!!!!!! This is my belief that small act will bring a great impact and can make a huge change!!!!!!!! |

Hello Sandhya
I have to say that you are a hero to the environment. As well as the impact you are spreading to your nearby acquaintances, I'm impressed by the strong discipline within yourself. You seem to reflect on your usage of plastics countlessly and always try to come up with the effective way to handle those harmful plastic wastes.
As you mentioned in your report, involvement from as many people can actually make changes to the environment. Hopefully more and more people will join the green movement, and find the best way to harmonize with the mother earth.
Thank you for the insightful report.
keep up the great work.

Continue writing. Plastic is a big biohazard to the ecosystem, life on land and water. Leads to chocking of fish and death of animals as well

Hey Sandhya
this is Lisa:)
I do believe that indeed small acts can create big changes and I think what you are doing is not small at all! If others around you see what you are doing and get inspired by you, you are spreading the green mind in your local community and that's a big job. Raising awareness and letting people know how they can make it real the values they have in their daily lives is really important in climate action. In that sense, you are a big change creator:)
Hope you continue on and always green cheers for you!
Oh and I love your photos of the paper vessle!

Hello Sandhya!!
I hope you are fine and doing great.
I really enjoyed reading yours report.
The plastic waste we create during the consumption of the junk food or the dry food can be the substitute of the polybags we consume for seed germination to the saplings.
Keep writing and shining.
Hope to know more from you.
Warm regards,
Meena
