South African Oceans: Marine Life

by Xolani Mnisi | 20-12-2019 20:00 recommendations 0

The Indian Ocean and the Atlantic are both the South African Marine life. Thereby spanning across and divisively the exterior coastal boarder boundaries provides excellent life to both environment: human and nature aswel as wildlife and specie.

A large amount of oceans gives life forms and living being norms to all, which exists intra it. In addition, it has been evident that individual whom settle beside the shores feed-off what the marine offers.

In coastal area places such as Cape Town (Western Cape), Port Elizabeth(Eastern Cape) and Durban(KwaZulu-Natal), assets be fish, pearls, sandstones a few common items and sets, which are predominantly suggestable-found of which are mainly, are sustainability commodity lived-upon products.

It is also imperative to understand and provide knowledge that the marine life both outside and within account to a compulsory role to preserve and conserve a sustainable life. Given the acknowledgement of Sustainable Development Goal¡¯s: ¡°on land and within water¡±, marine life aspects are key target sets, which the government and organization aim to release greater achievement of progressive success.

Thus, various regulatory mechanisms, plans, projects and program to protect and preserve the biodiversity out and within the marine life, have been introduced and expanded throughout. In this attempt, guaranteeing an effective and efficient marine life a control, monitoring accompanied with supervisory methods and rearview strategies have been developed and processed at greater means by respective organization fostering the United Nations Environment mandates of tolerant and relevant principle codes sub government auspices.

The recent Indian Organizations States Summits placed strides and thrives on marine life protection and safety of all life forms embedded within. Inter alia, is the government of the Republic of South Africa whom too has accounted for stringent measures to conserve marine life and all that contains near. Thus, to promote social welfare and promote environmental justice efforts, the government proposed and enforced fishing regulations, ocean and beach cleanups and awareness campaigns in the objective of attaining restoration and protection.

The South African Department of Environmental Affairs and Fisheries (DEAF) at national government sphere recently held a cleanup campaign whereby comprising of plastic paper, glass and plastic bottles, and tissue paper litter was primary targeted and most found waste in the beach costal areas, predominantly within Durban. The program was also taken to community sub municipalities(local government) auspices at which residents where taught through shared-integrated knowledge about the sever crises and ramifications posed on marine life species and biodiversity ecosystems due to waste, litter and other hazardous items which being discarded.

Its noted that the elementary results of such contributed immensely to climate change, global warming and the depletion of every life forms survival as us humans too experiencing a shortage of pure clean oxygen due to phytoplankton loss, hampering coral reefs, fish survival and our food dependence as the value chain becomes disarranged and damaged-limiting survival dependency in and above water.

Corporates: mining, energy and chemicals are too encouraged not to pollute but rather protect marine life and its diversity overall. With policies guiding and international laws governing states actions and corporates courses to the rights to marine of protection and sustainability, marine life surely is protected. However, to conserve is elementary aspect required to be continuously be fought for and developed in the world.

    Hello Xolani

Thank you for sharing the marine environmental situation of South Africa.
I've heard from variety of sources that the natural view of South Africa is really beautiful. I wish I get the chance to visit the place one day. However, I can see that some of the coastal areas of South Africa is suffering, just like many other coastal areas in the world. But at the same time I can see that there are some actions being taken to make the situation better. I hope those programs contribute a lot in making the coastal areas as beautiful as before.

Thank you for the great report.
